For the third chocolate topping/decoration.
Lay out a piece of parchment paper on a flat dish or baking pan.
Make a chocolate sauce of cacao, coconut oil, agave or maple syrup, vanilla and a smiggin of salt. Use blender to combine.
While the sauce is still warm, transfer the sauce into a measuring cup and pour onto parchment paper. Sauce needs to be thin enough to pour and so it will lay down to form patties. Decorate with nuts if desired.
Put in refrigerator to chill...about 30 minutes. Put on your little chilled cakes!
Have fun! - DonnaMarie

This is an awesome recipe. I couldn't find my cupcake pans so I just used a brownie pan. Still very delicious. But where is the third chocolate layer? The little round chocolate part at the very top is missing. - Natalie

This looks fantastic. Can I replace almonds for the cashews as my son is allergic to cashews?

This looks great. The chocolate on the top -- is that more of the chocolate filling put on only after it's taken out the freezer? - Cheryl
