Detoxifying Beet Elixir

Beets and beet greens have amazing liver cleansing abilities and these days it's a good idea to give the liver a little extra support and love. We recommended making and enjoying this juice at least a few times per week. Beyond being extremely detoxifying it is also super hydrating and delicious. The lemon, ginger, cucumber and apple help balance out the root vegetables and create a very well rounded flavor.

3 small red beets, or 1/2 large beet
1 small cucumber (or 1/2 of a large cucumber)
1 inch knob of fresh ginger
4 leaves of beet greens (optional)
1/2 lemon (optional)
Wash and prepare produce. Juice using your personal juicer, straining any pulp if necessary.
