Savory Green Smoothie

On a morning when you're craving something less sweet and perhaps a little salty, it's time to try a savory green smoothie. This blends non-sweet fruit with green veggies and a bit of salt. The avocado here is quite filling, so this is a great recipe for those who need a bit of healthy fat to feel satisfied. Blend this up and replace your coffee with a mug full of green smoothie for morning energy you can count on. This also makes a nice, cool summer soup.

Ingredients

1 cup water
4 stalks of celery with leaves, chopped
1 avocado
1 medium cucumber, with skin, chopped
1 lemon, peeled and seeded
1 handful of parsley
2 cloves of garlic
1/4 teaspoon Himalayan salt

Methods/steps

1) Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth.  Drink immediately & enjoy!

Any tips for a replacement smoothies that call for celery? I absolutely can't stand celery. =/

All those delicious green smoothies. Summer is just around the corner. Time to loose thoose love-handels again. With green smoothies you make sure you don't get sick. Your resistance is better and it's good too!
